Highrr builds trust with hiring employers by ensuring all skill verifications represent a candidate's actual capability. The platform utilizes automated proctoring telemetry and code analysis systems to monitor assessment sessions.
Copied code submissions are flagged by automated MOSS (plagiarism detection) algorithms. Submitting code that matches other candidates or public web repositories results in **immediate disqualification** from the active recruitment drive.
Code of Conduct Rules
1. Browser Focus & Screen Sharing
You must remain in full-screen mode inside the assessment tab.
- Navigating away, opening developer consoles, or switching browser tabs will trigger a **Tab Switch Flag**.
- Exceeding **3 Tab Switch Flags** results in automatic exam submission.
2. Camera & Microphone Compliance
Your camera and microphone must remain enabled throughout the test.
- Your face must be centered and fully visible in the webcam frame. Background backlight (e.g. windows behind you) should be avoided.
- Secondary speech or loud background noise triggers **Audio Peak Flags**. Test in a quiet room.
3. Use of Generative AI & Copilots
AI coding tools or browser extensions are strictly prohibited.
- Using ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or other code generators during tests violates the honor code.
- Highrr blocks keyboard copy-paste actions inside the code workspace editor. You must write code manually.
4. Environment Security
Ensure you are the only person in the testing area.
- Secondary people appearing in the camera frame or helping you solve questions will trigger an integrity warning.
- Using secondary monitors, tablets, or phones during tests is prohibited.

A: A single accidental tab switch or background noise spike will not lock the test, but the flag is recorded and visible to HR reviewers. Multiple or persistent flags trigger automatic exam lockouts.

A: Brief glances are tolerated, but looking off-camera for extended periods triggers face-missing alerts. Keep your scratch paper directly in front of you.
Q: My exam was locked due to "Tab Switch" warnings. How do I request a reset?
A: Highrr helpdesk support cannot unlock exams terminated due to tab switches. You must contact your college placement coordinator to request an exam reset.
Q: Does the code similarity checker run against public websites like GitHub or StackOverflow?
A: Yes. Highrr's plagiarism engine cross-references your submitted code against other candidate submissions and public codebases to identify copied code blocks.
Q: What happens if someone walks behind me during a proctored assessment?
A: The AI webcam analyzer will flag a "Multiple Faces Detected" violation. Ensure you take the assessment in a private, quiet room with no other people present.
Q: Can I appeal a proctoring flag that I believe was a false positive?
A: Yes. You can open a ticket at **Support Desk** or write to your placement committee. A human evaluator will review your session's recorded video frames to make a final decision.
