Create your student profile and set up your authenticated credentials.

The Registration page allows you to set up your primary student account on Highrr. By registering, you establish your credentials, link your student identity, and prepare your account to access job applications, assessments, and resume tools.

Accounts registered through this page are automatically configured with **Student** access permissions. This enables student-specific views, including the interactive Skill Repository, the ATS Resume Builder, and the Placement Drives listing.

Email Verification

Your registration email serves as your primary contact channel. Important alerts (such as drive invites, interview schedule updates, and proctoring reports) will be delivered here. Using your college-provided email address is highly recommended to sync academic records automatically.

1. Candidate Information Inputs

Form fields capturing your student details.

  • First Name & Last Name: Enter your official name details as they appear on your college transcripts.
  • Student Email: Input your email address. It is recommended to use your college/institutional email to sync academic credentials.
  • Password: Enter a strong password. Click the Eye Toggle Icon (👁️) to verify typed characters.
  • Create Account Button: Submits registration details. Displays "Syncing..." with a loading spinner while processing, temporarily disabling form fields to avoid duplicate requests.

2. Legal Consent & Agreement Checkboxes

Enforces mandatory terms checks before account creation.

  • Privacy Policy Checkbox: Must be checked to proceed. Verifies that you accept the platform's profile data sharing and proctoring logs terms.
  • Terms and Conditions Checkbox: Must be checked to proceed. Verifies compliance with placement rules and honest evaluation behaviors.
  • Locking Control: The submission button remains disabled and unclickable until all details are filled and both agreement boxes are checked.

Step-by-Step Registration Workflow

Follow these steps to create your new student profile:

1 Enter your First Name, Last Name, official Student Email, and secure Password.
2 Select both the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions checkboxes.
3 Click the "Create Account" button and wait for data processing (indicated by "Syncing...").
4 Upon successful verification, wait for the automatic redirect to the Login screen.
5 Look for the green confirmation banner at the top of the Login page to confirm account readiness.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

Q: Does the system validate my password complexity when registering?

A: The system requires a minimum password length. There are no strict requirements for uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, or special symbols. Choose a strong password that you can remember easily.

Q: Can I register using personal email accounts (like Gmail)?

A: Yes, the registration form accepts personal emails. However, if your college has whitelists or direct partnerships, registering with your institutional email (e.g. yourname@college.edu) is required to access your college's specific placement drives.

Q: I see an error saying "Email already exists".

A: An account is already registered using that email. If you created this account previously, navigate to the Login page and sign in. If you cannot remember your password, contact your placement coordinator or raise a support ticket for account recovery.

Q: How do I sync my registration with my university placement roll?

A: You must register with the exact email address provided to your university placement coordinator. If you register using a personal email, you will need to enter your college license code during onboarding to sync records.

Q: Why is the "Create Account" button disabled?

A: Ensure you have filled out all details (First Name, Last Name, Email, Password) and selected both the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions checkboxes. The button activates immediately after all requirements are met.

Q: I registered using the wrong email address. Can I change it or delete my account?

A: Students cannot delete or modify their registered emails. If you registered with an incorrect address, contact your university placement administrator to sync the correct email to your profile.

Q: What is the purpose of the split-role page described in the manual?

A: The split-role page ensures security. Candidates must select **I am a Student** to configure candidate profile features; choosing **I am a Recruiter** launches company hiring workspace flows.

Q: Is there a fee associated with college student registration?

A: No. Initial portal onboarding and registration are sponsored entirely by your university. Student accounts are created free of charge.
