Login & Session Management

Access your student workspace, manage active authenticated sessions, and configure session security.

Overview

Highrr is your college's placement portal. Log in to access your student dashboard, view upcoming campus hiring drives, build your resume, and prove your skills through proctored AI tests.

Session Security & Persistence

To protect candidate privacy and exam integrity, Highrr manages login sessions as follows:

  • Session Duration: Once authenticated, your session remains active in your browser for 24 hours. After this period, your session key automatically expires.
  • Automatic Inactivity Logouts: If you are inactive on the portal for over 2 hours, you will be logged out automatically. You must log in again on your next action.
  • Clearing Session Cache: If the login page freezes or hangs, clearing your browser cookies and local storage will reset the authentication state and resolve the issue.

1. Credentials Inputs

Use the details registered with your college placement cell.

  • Email: Enter your registered primary college or personal email address.
  • Password: Enter your secure password. Click the Eye Toggle (👁️) to show characters and verify accuracy.
  • Error Banner: Displays "Invalid email or password" if login fails.
  • Continue Button: Submits your credentials. Shows "Signing In..." during verification.

2. Dual Consent Checkboxes

You must accept the terms to unlock the login action.

  • Privacy Policy: Confirms consent to how Highrr secures your profile data.
  • Terms and Conditions: Confirms compliance with the university placement guidelines.
  • Lock State: The "Continue" button remains locked and grayed out until both checkboxes are ticked.

Step-by-Step Login Workflow

Follow these steps to access your student workspace:

1 Go to the login panel, select the **Student** tab, and enter your registered email.
2 Enter your password. Click the **Eye Icon Toggle** (👁️) to double-check characters.
3 Tick both the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions checkboxes.
4 Click **Continue** to verify your details and redirect to your dashboard.

Q: I keep getting an "Invalid email or password" error.

A: Check for common typos. Click the eye toggle button (👁️) to view your password characters. If you forgot your password, contact your college placement coordinator or raise a support ticket.

Q: Does closing my browser window log me out?

A: No, your login session stays active for 24 hours unless you explicitly click **Logout**. On shared computers, always click **Logout** to clear your session key and browser cache.

Q: How do I recover my account if I forgot my password?

A: Highrr does not offer self-service password resets. Please reach out to your university placement coordinator or submit an account recovery request to the Highrr Support Desk.

Q: Can I change my registered email address later?

A: To maintain trust with corporate recruiters, email addresses are locked after registration. If you must change your email (e.g., due to graduation or university transfer), submit a support ticket.

Q: Does the system support secondary backup emails?

A: No. Highrr binds your student eligibility and session security strictly to your primary registered email address. Secondary emails are not supported.

Q: How long does the OTP code remain valid for log in verification?

A: OTP codes remain valid for exactly **10 minutes** from the dispatch time. If you do not enter the code within this window, click **Resend OTP** to generate a new verification token.

Q: What happens if I attempt to log in on multiple devices concurrently?

A: Highrr supports a single active student session. Logging into a second device will immediately invalidate the session token on your first device and sign you out.

Q: I am not receiving the login verification emails. What should I check?

A: First check your Spam/Junk folders. If it is missing, confirm that your university domain whitelist allows emails from `noreply@highrr.com` or contact your placement coordinator to verify your sync status.
