Overview
Highrr provides granular controls to customize your student portal preferences. You can configure recruiter search visibility, manage alert channels, view billing details, and manage active sessions.
Most candidate preferences are located under the **About** tab in your Profile settings. Upgrades, invoice histories, and payment vouchers are managed on the **Billing settings** page.
Key Configuration Preferences
Recruiter Search Index Toggle
Control whether corporate hiring teams can discover your profile proactively.
- Enabled (Green): Your verified skill tree coordinates and resume show up in recruiter search results.
- Disabled: Your profile is hidden from search indexes. You can still apply manually to drives, but recruiters cannot find you proactively.
Notification Channels
Manage where and how you receive portal updates.
- Browser Push: Real-time alerts for incoming interview chats and exam room entries.
- Email Digests: Daily summaries of newly opened campus placement drives.
- SMS & WhatsApp Alerts: Essential warnings sent 15 minutes before a proctored exam round begins.
Billing & Subscription Settings
Review active plans and billing statements.
- Plan Status: Review details of your active plan (Free or Pro) and expiration date.
- Auto-Renewal: Toggle the auto-renew switch for monthly Pro subscription plans.
- Invoices: Download official PDF receipts for subscription payments.
Active Sessions & Security
Track and terminate active sessions to protect your account.
- Active Sessions List: Shows all devices and IP addresses currently logged into your account.
- Terminate Other Sessions: Click **Sign out of other devices** to immediately log out other active sessions.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
Q: Does toggling recruiter visibility off affect my active drive applications?
A: No. Toggling off visibility only hides you from new search queries. HR managers of company drives you have applied to will always retain access to your profile.
Q: Can I opt-out of SMS alerts for exams?
A: Highrr does not allow opting out of critical proctored exam SMS alerts, as these are necessary to send entrance link tokens. You can, however, disable email newsletter digests.
Q: How do I request a download of my stored personal data?
A: Scroll to the bottom of the Profile page. In the data settings area, click **Export Data JSON** to download a copy of all your records.
Q: Can I toggle the dark theme mode off permanently?
A: Yes. The theme toggle setting (located in the top navigation bar) is stored in your browser's local cache. It persists your selection until you clear your browser cache.
Q: What happens if I disable location permissions for the portal?
A: Highrr maps your local timezone and IP block dynamically to determine exam timings. Disabling location access does not block your workspace but may log a timezone disparity warning.
Q: How do I change my university license configurations?
A: Academic license structures are bound by your college registry synchronization. They are locked to prevent cheating and cannot be changed by the candidate.
