- Supervisor View: Clicking the link shows your role details with "Verify" and "Reject" buttons.
- Rejection Check: To prevent errors, supervisors must type the exact word
"reject"into a text field to decline. - Link Expiry: Links expire in 7 days. Expired links show a warning screen. Use "Resend Verification" to generate a fresh link.
- Spam check: Ask your supervisor to check their spam folder if the email is delayed.
2. Proctored Vetting Exam
Verify experiences independently without emailing a supervisor by completing a proctored vetting exam:
- Launch: Click the **Assess** button on your experience or project card.
- Setup: Calibrate your camera/mic and grant fullscreen/screen sharing permissions.
- Structure: Complete the MCQ and code workspace questions within the countdown timer limits.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
Q: My supervisor hasn't received the verification email.
A: Verify the spelling on your experience card. Ask them to check spam. You can click "Resend Verification" to generate a fresh email link.
Q: Can I edit an experience after it has been verified?
A: Editing a verified card resets its status to UNVERIFIED because the details have changed. You must request verification again for the updated details.
Q: My supervisor rejected my request by mistake. What should I do?
A: Open the experience card, review the details for accuracy, save it, and click "Send Verification" again to dispatch a new request.
Q: Why did my certificate image upload fail?
A: Highrr only accepts certificate files in PNG or JPG format, and the size must be under 5MB. PDFs are not supported directly; you can upload a cropped screenshot of the certificate instead.
Q: Connecting GitHub displays a loading error or zero metrics.
A: Ensure you input your exact public GitHub username (not your name or URL). Private contributions and repositories are not imported.
Q: How many supervisor-verified experiences can I list on my profile?
A: You can list up to **5 verified experiences** on free student accounts. Upgrading to Highrr Pro removes this limit.
Q: What happens if a vetting exam fails for a work experience verification?
A: If you fail, the experience card remains `UNVERIFIED`. You can re-attempt the vetting assessment after a **7-day cooldown period** or request supervisor email approval instead.
Q: How does the profile parser process my uploaded resume?
A: The AI parser reads your PDF and populates your profile fields (academics, experience, skills) automatically. Check all fields after parsing to correct any text translation errors.
